Watters Edge is an iconic Scenic Loop Playground cottage built about 1934. It sits on ONE of only about a half dozen lots that front on the Big Springs swimming hole in the Scenic Loop Playground owned by the City of Grey Forest. (See survey in additional docs for property lines). This cabin is constructed of native limestone with vaulted ceilings and a rock fireplace and offers an open floor plan with flexible living spaces. The former back porch currently used as a den could be additional sleeping area. The primary suite is reminiscent of a log cabin. The gently sloping lot, which includes a smaller fenced yard, leads to Helotes Creek, where vintage elements like a stone barbecue pit and a hand-dug well (in front of cottage) enhance its old-world charm.
